The international event VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION 2011 will be held at the beautiful historical Casinò Palace, Venice Lido, famous for the annual Venice Film Festival!

VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION 2011 encompasses a number of artistic, cultural and educational programs.Through performances, gala-shows, lectures – demonstrations, master classes with international recognized teachers, Venice Oriental Dance Convention has the aim to raise awareness of the variety of different styles of Oriental dance from China to Andalusia, from Folklore to Classic form, from Raqs Sharqi to Tribal Style, from Bollywood to Uzbek Dances, from Balkan Dances to Oriental Flamenco, from Chinese fusion to to Turkish Gypsy Dances, from Persian Dances to Sacred Sufi Dervishes…

WORKSHOP MAKE UP with Raffaella Cipolato

The stage of Venice is prestigious for our International Competition, which relies on the support of the Department of Culture – City of Venice, International Dance Council CID UNESCO. Three prestigious trophy, designed and created specially for the event by a Venetian master of international fame and produced by New Murano Gallery, will be donated to the winners of the competition for: Best Choreography, Best Performance, Artistic Innovation.
Subscription for the competition “Silk Road Award” must be concluded no later than 15th February 2011.

VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION is a great opportunity to experiment, exchange and create communication between different international schools.
