WORKSHOP I (11am – 1pm):
Classical Egyptian Choreography
“And the Days Passed”
Amar will teach a classical choreography from her upcoming new instructional DVD. Incorporating her Egyptian fusion style that includes flavors of Latin, jazz and ballet, while still preserving the traditional and classical Egyptian feeling.

WORKSHOP II (2pm – 4pm):
Shimmy Technique, Drills, Layering and Combos
Amar will teach you how to polish, control and execute shimmies with confidence. She’ll share technique Essentials to becoming a powerful dancer, putting it all together to some fun combinations.

Amar Gamal, born in Havana, Cuba began bellydancing at the age of 13. She won the double title of Ms. America and Ms. World of the Bellydance 1996, winner of Bellydance Breakbeats Competition 2002, and first runner up in the Ms. Egypt competition in Cairo, Egypt 2004. Amar has been a principal dancer with the Bellydance Superstars and is co founder and member of Bellyqueen. Her elegant and unique style has made her a sought after performer and instructor throughout North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
